The mantra - " Take a Chill Pill "

Hmmm............... so here i am after a pretty long break. I am again back home for a month after facing the dreadful examination . Though examination period is never thought to be good...but this time it was horrendous and purely hapless . I am not as euphoric as I used to be post exams, but rather I have mixed feelings and there is hell lot of reasons for it.
Ofcourse I am greatly releived for the fact that exams have finally come to an end and I have about 3 months before I flip to the pages of the book, but.... I am not really overwhelmed to be back home ( I know this is gonna be a shock for people who know me.... and for people who dont....umm.....forget it!!). I seem to have lost interest in everything; even my favourite delicacies, movies, music, books have betrayed me at this juncture. Hey....hellooo......NO....am not in love..... but this ungratified attitude of mine is a reflection to the horrifying examination papers .
Computer Science........... which is mostly referred to as the coolest(taking into account the pre recession period) and often envied by most of us owing to the fact that CSE people need not have to study. Very true...they need not have to study because even burning the midnight oil would not have yielded anything benefitial to them as far as this end sem was concerned. The question papers were completely mindblowing and out of the world, as a glance at the question paper would ruin you of your mind (if you have had any left by that time...thanks to the examination department for scheduling our exams back to back) and absolutely out of the world because there seem to be no similarity between the course structure, the content of the book and not to forget the lectures which we attend .Let it be FDC.............SOC......or FLAT...... ( these are our super cool branch subjects) none of which posed to be an exception.
Every one of us must have heard.. "All is fair in love and war" but as far as BIT Mesra is concerned, there is a BIT modification..."All is fair in examination and results". So its useless thinking how could they do it.....how could they be so unrelenting... because it will only result in dismay.
After pouring down all these I feel a lot better. Afterall such is life dearies....one has to keep going...be optimistic and hope for the best .The more you rub the diamond the more it shines and in this case the more you are screwed the better you will be, so my mantra for tackling such situation is ---"Take A Chill Pill"

Adventurous Ecstasy

of my last vacations which was a 25 days trip to the mesmerising city of Goa.
Last vacations...i.e. summer 2008 has memories which is still as fresh as the morning lily, and i dont really have to go down my memory lane to pen down the unforgettable memories which are etched in my mind.
Though I wasnt visiting Goa for the first time...neither the view of the frivolous blue sea was new to me, but the feel was quite different this time as I was on a fun trip to Goa with people without whom I cant imagine my life....my college life to be more specific...yeaah you have got it right...I was on an exquisite trip with my buddies(courtsey..NETTECH and GOA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT....... I am not going in details about nettech and the networking course which led us to our dream destination because it would be unfair to just make it a mere part of something while it deserves a whole space dedicated to it) and thats the reason why it was different and so special.
So starting it from the very beginning....
The day we got to know that there is some summer course in GOA, our eyes twinkled with joy,
obviously not because of the course and hence it is some course, but because of the oppurtunity we were getting ...the golden oppurtunity of spending 25 days...twenty five days..with friends who are my heart and my soul in no other place than Goa-the place which most of us crave to visit. But, life isnt that easy... the first, probably the biggest , and hopefully the last hurdle we had to cross was to get permission from our parents, which we got after convincing them in the best way we could but,*****CONDITIONS APPLY***** on the condition that they will escort us to and forth Goa. Well it is quite understandable, afterall parents will remain parents!
Finally all set and here comes the respledent and splendiferous GOA...the Goa of our dreams
beautifully decorated with the divine nature surrounding it , it is said that "Nature is a volume of which god is the author" and this place seemed to be one of the perfect and finest chapters in that volume , with its string of beaches and the huge and elegant churches.
Excluding all the details of the GIM campus and the course...which I promise to deal with in due time, after reachin goa our first day out was going to a Cruise .
The day was perfect with blue sky ,green pastures and rattling and howling wondrous sea which had a hypnotic effect on me. We had a short voyage of about an hour ,though it was short we were neither deprived of observing the dolphins nor of the butterflies in the stomach which is experienced while moving on the sea .
The next day out was to the beaches for the adventurous water sports.
Eventhough I have been to beaches umpteen number of times but everytime, it has a magnetic effect on me. No doubt I love the sea...the vast spreading sea...meeting the sky at the horizon and whispering some secret to it.
It forms a perfect picturesque and is a delight to watch.
Now coming back to the adventure sports , we had para sailing, water biking etc.
I was the first one ( and the brave one too!) to go high up in the sky, hands clinged to the parachute which was moving with the boat it was tied to. It was extraordinary feeling being there on top of the world ,flying like a bird with the sea beneath and the sky above , only then I could realise how beautiful the world around us is with such scenic beauty in splendid. I probably cant express it in words, it was fabulous and out of the world.
Next comes water biking, now this was real adventure. Imagine the thrill and excitement we experience on a bike, racing down the roads. Water biking was having the same kinda fun with thrill and excitement which is beyond compare. Venturing the rough sea with high and low waves and making a way out of it with cool breeze blowing, on an apparently self driven water bike is mindblowing. It was awesome!
And as there is an end to everything, even our stay had to end but the trip was one of its own kind,a perfect blend of fun, excitement, joy and thrill. Our recipe of a vacation couldnt have been better than this.
My stay at goa - the place which is beautiful, marvellous and unique in its own way, will always remain a cherishable and exceptionally enjoyable and probably once in a lifetime trip , and I would take this oppurtunity to thank first and foremost my parents , then my friends who form an integral part of the whole episode and last but not the least.. team NETTECH which has all the credit to make it happen. Hats off to you all...........you people rock!!!!

Covering or Covering Up
Shocked....???
(Whether your answer is a yes or a no it hardly makes a difference to me.)
It is (not) difficult to admit that media contents are biased. Unfortunately today most of the news room have gone from media biasing to media corruption, so why wont they call it " just greasing the wheels of the economy , and causing no real harm"
If the media which is one of the most effective source of information isnt serious about issues like corruption which indeed is a major menace , how can we expect the youth or lets say the people of the nation to curb it. Corruption has and will continue to eat up our economy if immediate measures arent taken to atleast minimise it. The level of corruption has risen from just a want to get the work done , to anything and everything...... and hence media is no exception to it.
Though most take painstaking measures to hide it, it is seldom undetectable (thanks to the fabricated stories and shaped and manipulated data that are published.) No longer do media journalism prioritize source accuracy and reliability. Infact it is engaged in every level of criminality and in the name of journalism make millions and sooner or later become "red carpet stars."
An impeccable question still remains unanswered...... Is media covering or covering up corruption??????
